Civil Rights Act of 1964
The civil rights act of 1964 was enacted on July 2, 1964. It outlawed major forms of discrimination against racial, ethnic, national, and religious minorities, and women. This also ended the Jim Crow laws. The civil rights act was eventually expanded even further.
