Civil Rights Act of 1968
The civil rights act of 1968 provided equal housing opportunities regardless of race. It was enacted on April 11, 1968. This act helped African Americans get better housing and have the same housing as white people. This was a landmark piece of legislation signed in by Lyndon Johnson.
